- Turn off the lights: We want to invite as much natural light into the room as possible. Natural light is blue and artificial lights are warmer, so they compete.
- Grid Lines: Did you know your iPhone has a grid setting? Enable it in camera settings for straight lines.
- Clean your lens: Use a microfiber cloth to wipe off your lens. You don’t want smudges or streaks hindering your photos.
- Get a little lower: Widen your stance, feel stable, and bring your iPhone lower, about waist or hip height. Viewing the room as you experience it in real life invites people into the room and creates an esthetically pleasing photo.“
- It’s all about the highlights: By tapping on the brightest part of your phone’s screen, you are exposing the brightest part of the room. This will help your photos look balanced.
- Not too fast – Edit: Many apps help you edit your iPhone photos. My favorites are Lightroom, VSCO, and your phone’s editing. To have a photo that pops on your feed, sharpen your photo a smidge and add some texture and highlights. Brightening the photo is also helpful.
