Who or what inspired you to become a designer?

At seven years old, I got a Barbie Dream House for Christmas, and that was it; a designer was born. That was when I knew I wanted to be a designer! I rearranged that dream house thousands of times and would play with the furniture more than the dolls.

How would you describe the vibe of your home and design aesthetic?

I love a hotel-chic aesthetic, so that is the vibe I go for at home. My home is polished and refined but not stuffy. I have two teenage boys, so nothing is off-limits.

What is your favorite color?

Although I really love blush pink, my favorite color is black. I think it is a sexy, versatile color that makes any room or any outfit look better.

Do you have a favorite movie?

Choosing a favorite movie is tough; I love many movies, but it is probably The Godfather.

What are you binging right now on any streaming service?

My husband and I are binge-watching Billions at the moment.

What is one of your guilty pleasures?

Watching makeup tutorials on YouTube is my (embarrassingly) guilty pleasure. Like with interiors, I love to see the way Makeup Artists mix colors and textures. If I have a few hours to myself, I usually get a mani-pedi.

What is your favorite outfit?

My favorite everyday outfit is a pair of distressed Mother jeans, a gray tank from Aerie, and a longer modern-cut blazer from Aritzia. I love that simply changing your shoes and lipstick will totally change the vibe of this look.

What is your favorite holiday tradition you celebrate with friends and family?

Having the “seven fishes” or seven dishes of seafood on Christmas Eve is a tradition I’ve had since I was a kid and continue to have with my family. Sharing these unique dishes, which we don’t usually have during the rest of the year, makes the night feel much more special.

What is one holiday entertaining or design tip you want to share?

Dressing a beautiful holiday table is an art form and really adds such a special element to any celebration. I have a whole blog post on my website breaking down how to create a beautiful tablescape. I promise this will up-level anyone’s holiday decorating.
