Styling for Winter at Magnolia

Photos by Steph Cano

With a bit of imagination, creativity, and excellent sourcing, you can transform your home for the winter holidays.

I paired seasonal decor on a recent trip to Magnolia in Waco, TX for a fabulous, cozy vibe.

Here are some of my tips:

Add layers of texture and color – I loved all the shades of green (moss, emerald, and sage) available at Magnolia, from pillows, throws, and rugs to add a vintage feel and a timeless look.

Brass bowl with vintage matchbooks – I found them on Etsy, and I used them in brass or mango wood bowl to accent a coffee table, console, or side table.

Candles – we love the holiday scents filling our home during the holidays. My personal favorite is the Magnolia Gathered Scent.

Tabletop decor, oh my! Linen napkins in a simple fold placed on your base plate. I love Magnolia’s Taupe Embossed Dinnerware Collection with antique gold flatware and etched glassware.

Organics and tree decor – There is nothing better than a live tree to infuse the smell of Christmas! To complete the tree, adorn vintage mercury glass ornaments, live avocado toast, rollerskates, and a latte from Magnolia Press, then wrap a red ticking stripe fabric ball garland with lights to complete your vintage tree.

However, when you watch your favorite holiday movie, you style your home for the holidays and have plenty of firewood, cozy throws, hot cocoa, and marshmallows.

So now tell me, what is your favorite holiday movie?

I have two: It’s a Wonderful Life & Love Actually!
